Our Virginia Sheepshead Tournament Will Be Fun for All Ages!
Welcome to the PSWSFA's 1st Annual Sheepshead Tournament. Virginia anglers have discovered another world-class fishery right here in our own backyard. The PSWSFA is excited to announce the 2023 Virginia Sheepshead Tournament to be held August 5, 2023 in the lower Chesapeake Bay.

How to Catch a Virginia Sheepshead
Fishing for Virginia Sheepshead in the Chesapeake Bay has continued to gain popularity as they are unique, put up a great fight and are delicious to eat! Plus, they can get BIG! Ten plus pounders can be caught in the lower Chesapeake Bay. All you need is a strong rod & reel, some good bottom structure and some fresh crab and you're ready to catch a trophy Virginia Sheepshead.
